Having identified the property and reaching out to the vendor, we successfully acquired the building off-market, on behalf of a retained client, Fresh Lime Developments.
The vendor had recently obtained full planning consent to provide a mix of seven apartments and two offices, on a road adjoining Whetstone High Road.
Working alongside the purchaser, GLPG remained involved in a number of further negotiations on the site. These negotiations included party-wall agreements and detailed discussions with a neighbouring property, where a payment was agreed to waiver a right of way, allowing unobstructed access to the rear car park.
GLPG likewise ensured that our client did not carry the burden of these extra costs, and instead agreed a reduction in price with the vendor.
Whetstone is an affluent area in North London, with an abundance of shops, restaurants and supermarkets, with this particular site being located moments away from all local amenities, including Totteridge and Whetstone Station (Northern Line) and Oakleigh Park Station (Overground).
